Roomfield is a 360 tour platform run by x Create in South Africa. This page explains, in plain words, what personal information we handle and why. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who is responsible
For photographers and agencies who sign up, we are the responsible party for your account details. For the tours you publish and the leads they collect, your business (or your client) decides what is collected, and we process it on your behalf as an operator.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and business details.
- Content you upload: 360 photos and the text in your tours. Faces and number plates can be blurred before publishing.
- Tour views: anonymous, first-party counts (rooms viewed, button taps, time in tour). No advertising trackers run inside tours.
- Leads: when a guest sends a form, the details they enter and their consent, passed to the business.
- This website: essential storage to remember your choices. Visit counting (PostHog, hosted in the EU, and Google Analytics) only if you choose "Allow all". Early-access sign-ups: the name, email, role, company and country you give us.
What we never do
- Use your imagery or your clients' imagery to train AI models.
- Sell personal information or datasets.
- Put third-party advertising trackers in your tours.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or complain to the Information Regulator. Write to hello@xcreate.io.
Still to be added
Retention periods, sub-processors and where data is stored, cross-border transfers, security measures and the operator agreement for businesses.
